A Slice of the PIE: Creating a more productive, inclusive economy

Seminars

A well-designed tax system is a powerful tool to protect our environment and support our people. New Zealand’s current system is not getting us there. Kiwis experience high economic inequality and it is harming our well-being. We need to repair our public services and our welfare system and change our economy so that it runs fairer, cleaner and greener. A better tax system can help.

But to get the most from tax, we need to talk about it. In the third event in this series, Bernard Hickey, Geoff Bertram and Alison Pavlovich consider what the ideal tax system looks like to support a productive, inclusive economy.

Speakers:

Alison Pavlovich, Ass. Lecturer in Taxation, Massey University
Geoff Bertram, Senior Associate IGPS
Bernard Hickey, Managing Editor, Newsroom Pro
