From research on the nature of the PhD\, to a national study of early career academic experiences\, and recent international work on trust-centred university classrooms\, Professor Kathryn Sutherland&rsquo;s research focuses on how universities can nurture conditions in which both students and staff flourish.In her inaugural lecture\, Professor Sutherland will reflect on a two-decade career exploring what it means to work\, teach\, and learn in contemporary universities.
