The rising of the Matariki star cluster marks the Māori New Year. Traditionally a time for remembering the dead and celebrating new life, it’s a chance to gather with friends and whānau and celebrate our community.

As part of the University whānau, we invite you and your family to join us for a Matariki celebration at Space Place. We’ll have screenings of the Matariki planetarium show for you to enjoy, arts and crafts, telescope viewings and delicious food for purchase courtesy of Boom Burger.

This event will be split into two separate sessions, when registering please select which session you would like to attend.
