The Wellington Faculty of Engineering supports the research and teaching work of two schools and two research centres.
The Faculty includes the School of Engineering and Computer Science, the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, the Robinson Research Institute, and the Computational Media Innovation Centre. We also work closely with the University’s Industry Alliance Programme.

Computational Media Innovation Centre (CMIC)
The Centre’s research expertise spans computational science, including computer graphics, VR/AR, computer vision, machine learning, and applied mathematics.
Paihau—Robinson Research Institute
The Institute does industry-relevant research including robotics, magnetic sensors, and superconductor technologies for MRI scans and ultra-efficient aircrafts.
Industry Alliance Programme
The Industry Alliance Programme supports the delivery of industry-focused postgraduate degrees built on connections between the University and local industry.
