What's it all about?

Gino Acevedo (Creative Art Director at Weta Digital) and Kristy Grant (Director of Miramar Creative) will talk about the importance of giving back, mentoring, and collaborating with people at all stages in their careers.

This event includes a special screening of Wellington ICT Graduate School's Master of Design Technology students' 2019-20 capstone short-films with a student panel hosted by Gino about their experiences with industry collaboration and professional growth.

The two student short films are:

This will be a virtual talk, screening, and panel via Zoom (https://vuw.zoom.us/j/95704338265) which will last about an hour and a half.

This talk is a part of the Miramar Creative Centre series of talks. Miramar Creative Centre is a collaboration between Victoria University of WellingtonWellington ICT Graduate School, and Miramar Creative Ltd which sits amongst the Weta group buildings on Park Road and offers unrivalled access to work experience and professional connections with New Zealand’s world-leading film, animation, and game design industries. The Master of Design Technology and Master of Fine Arts (Film and Music) is taught from here.
