Studying remotely while sick

Advice for students on studying from home when feeling unwell, including tips on using online resources.

If you test positive for COVID-19 or have a similar contagious illness, please stay home and rest. It’s important to give yourself time to recover and to prevent other students on campus from getting sick.

If you are feeling well enough, you may want to study while at home. Think about whether you have everything you need to be able to study at home.

Student Learning has online resources to support you while you are studying remotely.

If you are studying at postgraduate level, plan for regular communication with your supervisor.

Accessing course content remotely

You can watch lectures online and access most course content remotely. Check your main course page on Nuku for instructions.

If you cannot find this information, talk to your Student Success Adviser, who is there to assist you with any challenges you might have during the trimester. You can find your adviser on Pūaha and contact them by phone or email.

Some courses might not be entirely online, so talk to your course coordinator about a plan for studying from home.
