Abstract: Image editing is very useful, for example, a cut-and-paste operation is often used on various applications. In the research field, various approaches to image editing have been developed, such as seamless cloning, style transfer, deformation, and so on. In recent years, we have adopted basic concepts of such useful techniques, and have proposed post-processing methods for editing fluid flow. In this talk, I will introduce our fluid flow editing work. Also, I will talk about my experiences submitting papers to SIGGRAPH and TOG.

Bio: Syuhei Sato is an assistant professor at the University of Toyama in the Graduate School of Science and Engineering for Research, Japan since 2019. He received his BE in Engineering in 2009 from Hokkaido University, and ME and Ph.D in Information Science in 2011, and 2014, respectively, from Hokkaido University. He worked at Ubiquitous Entertainment Inc. (2014-2015), DWANGO Co., Ltd. (2015-2019), Prometech Software, Inc. (4/2019-6/2019), as a researcher. His research interests include simulation, editing, and modeling for fluid on computer graphics.
