Daniel Medeiros is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Computational Media Innovation Center (CMIC) at Victoria University of Wellington. He received his PhD in information systems and computer engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, a MSc in informatics from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and a BSc in computer science from Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), Brazil. At INESC-ID he joined the Visualization and Intelligent Multimodal Interfaces Group at INESC-ID Lisbon. During his MSc, Daniel was part of the Virtual Reality and Digital Entertainment Group at Tecgraf Institute/PUC-Rio, where he developed virtual reality applications for the oil and gas industry. His main interests include virtual reality, 3D user interfaces, augmented reality, and human–computer interaction.
