The Trends in Employment Agreements and Employment Law Update seminars provide participants with a comprehensive overview of bargaining and case law developments over the last 12 months.
The seminar series has established a reputation as the definitive source of practitioner-focused information on current employment relations practices in New Zealand and the accompanying book which includes analysis of employment agreements provisions at sector and industry level, is an essential reference for those involved in bargaining.
Dr Stephen Blumenfeld, Director of CLEW, presents the latest development in collective agreements and looks at the trends on collective agreement provisions over the last few years. Well-known and respected Auckland employment lawyer, Peter Kiely, discusses the most interesting and key employment law cases over the last twelve months as well as an update on the developments in legislation. The Employment Court of New Zealand Judges chair the seminars in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

The seminars presented by way of webinar are the same as those presented in person but without the advantage of interacting and discussing with your fellow attendees. The time allowed is as per the 'in-person' sessions but the webinar is likely to be slightly shorter because of the reduced discussion. The webinars are limited to 40 people per session and we may add a third session if demand is sufficient.
