The CI at VUW offered four Discover China! Dumpling workshops at Te Are School in Wellington. Discover China instructor Vicky Ha taught students how to make different delicious Chinese dumplings. Deputy Mayor of Xiamen, Mr Kang Tao visited Te Aro School and was impressed with the students’ enthusiasm to learn and taste Chinese culture. This is the first Dumpling workshop that the CI has organised through the Discover China! scheme. Teachers and students have commented positively on this experience and the CI hopes to organise similar workshops at various schools in the Wellington region and beyond.
