Biography

Professor Sam Huang is a research professor in the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Australia. Before entering academia, he worked as a government official in Beijing at China National Tourism Administration (CNTA). Professor Huang is an internationally recognized leading scholar researching China tourism. He is a founding fellow of the International Association for China Tourism Studies (IACTS) and the Director of the Australia-China Tourism Research Network (ACTReNet). fluent in Mandarin Chinese and with both industry and academic experiences in China, Hong Kong and Australia, he is ideally positioned to bridge the tourism academia and industries between China and Australia.
