Research inspires fiction

Author Natalie Zina Walschots' novel 'Hench', examines what happens when the ability to calculate the human cost of disaster is coupled with a superhuman ability to organise and manipulate data.

Walschots draws on Ilan Noy’s research calculating the human costs of disasters. She writes, “I’m a huge admirer of his work and I'm so grateful for his assistance!”

Congratulations Ilan, on inspiring a novel.
