Associate Professors Pedro Antunes and Mary Tate won the best theory award at ACIS 2019, Perth for their paper; “Business Processes and Flexibility: a theoretical perspective.”

Karen Smith

Professor Karen Smith, Associate Dean Teaching and Learning at Wellington School of Business and Government, was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to education and volunteering. Professor Smith has both an academic and a personal interest in volunteering and is the former Chairperson of Volunteering New Zealand.

Professor of Public Management Evan Berman

Professor Evan Berman, from the School of Government, is to be awarded the H. George Frederickson PA Times Best Article Award at the 2019 annual conference of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). The award is in recognition of Professor Berman's article 'Rethinking Democracy: Reforming Appointee-Executive Relations' published in the Spring 2018 edition of the PA Times, ASPA's quarterly magazine.
