Study our Master of Landscape Architecture in Auckland
We are excited to offer our professionally accredited Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programme in Auckland (for domestic students) from January 2021.
Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington’s MLA is one of only three programmes in New Zealand that meets the standards for accreditation with the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects (NZILA). This makes it perfect for recent graduates wanting to go into the profession as well as experienced candidates who want to broaden their career opportunities.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer our Master of Landscape Architecture in Auckland next year,” says Andre Brown, Head of the Wellington School of Architecture.
“We have strong connections with many landscape architecture practices in Auckland so being able to bring our students to their doorstep is going to be invaluable for our graduates.”
The Master of Landscape Architecture combines science with the creative design process. Students learn how to influence how people interact with landscapes, envisioning and creating new possibilities for outdoor spaces. We have a vibrant student and staff community that fosters innovation by focusing on best practice and environmental and social responsibility.
“The Master of Landscape Architecture will be offered as a hybrid model of online lectures and studios, together with our Wellington-based students,” explains Bruno Marques, Landscape Architecture Programme Director.
“There will be regular face-to-face tutorials at our Auckland campus, on the top of the usual online interactive sessions, and all materials will be recorded for those that would like to catch up in their own time. We’ll be providing our Auckland students with direct contact with industry by bringing in some of the most talented professionals and alumni to tutor our future graduates.”
