- Paleoclimatology from glaciated and non-glaciated continental margins
- Sequence stratigraphy, integrated chronostratigraphy, cyclostratigraphy and sedimentology
- Specialising in reconstruction of past sea-level and ice volume variability
- Earth system proxy data and numerical model comparison and integration
