Research Projects

The research projects I work on are concerned with using the historic sediment record in developing our understanding the geomorphic impact of environmental changes on the landscape. I currently use geophysical, geological modelling and geospatial software to help interpret the impact that high-magnitude, low-frequency events, such as earthquakes, have on the landscape. I am also involved in developing the radiocarbon chronology for the Lakes 380 project: Our lakes’ health: past, present, future - Me hoki whakamuri kia haere whakamua.
